Lizet Angulo

Lizet was brought up as a teamster childhood, Lizet's mother was a Teamster Member Local Union #420.  Lizet was honored to be appointed as a Personnel Commissioner, Bassett USD (was Chair: 2016-2018). Lizet is currently a SEIU #721 Associate member.  She began community involvement with Bassett Little League: first as a Team Mother and then, member Board of Directors; volunteered with PTA at my son’s school as a Unit Secretary until she became Bassett Council of PTA’s, Council President (3 times), and taught Ballet Folklorico, Instructor (Elementary school).  
  
Elected as Board of Education Trustee, Bassett USD in the late 90’s. Lizet's parents had purchased two homes in Victorville (early 1990’s), which became the family vacation homes.  After her parents passed away, she decided to move permanently to Victorville and manage the rental properties.  
 
She began to get involved immediately in the community: Sponsoring programs with the Victor Valley Rescue Mission (backpacks and gala), co-sponsor Veterans Gala Community Awards, Homeless Shelter, Warming Shelter, the “Long Walk” (Ft. Irwin Battalion marched to CalVets, Barstow), Victor Valley Chamber of Commerce Mixer, Truck N Treat with Car Club, Backpacks for Trona USD, and Thanksgiving Dinner for the Town of Trona 2019 (1,500 residents).  Burning Bush Church member, Victorville.  
 
Organization membership: American Culinary Federation Member (Chef), NAACP – 2nd Vice President, High Desert Hispanic Chamber of Commerce - Treasurer, National Women of Negro Council member, Greater High Desert Chamber of Commerce, Victorville Lions Club and VFW Life Member.  
Education: She received an associate: Business Management and Medical Insurance Billing Certificate; a bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration; and, a master’s degree in Business Administration.  Which she utilized throughout her career, Medical Office Manager, Executive Assistant/Bookkeeper in the Industrial field, Compliance Coordinator, Staff Training and taught life skills at an educational facility and is an entrepreneur. 
  
As a businesswoman: She is the President of a E-Media publication/e-marketing ((over 16 e-publications) and business & media strategies and CEO/Founder of a non-profit organization: Ladies TKO (Taking Key Opportunities).  Giving back to communities across California and Nevada (Las Vegas Branch).   
 
She is an advocate for the #MeToo movement (Domestic Violence Awareness), Denim Day (Against Sexual Assault), Alzheimer Awareness (her parents had this disease) and Veterans Advocate.  
 
She has a blended family: 2 sons and 2 daughters.  With 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Her husband is an Army veteran, 1 son is a Marine veteran, her father Korean War Veteran and father-in-law WWll veteran.   Also, she is a sister-in-law, niece, cousin and aunt of Army, Navy, National Guard, Air Force, and Marine Veterans with active-duty nieces/nephew in Army, Navy, and  Army Reserve.
